Meriam Nazih Al-Rashid is an internationally ranked disputes lawyer and independent arbitrator with over 23 years of experience representing sovereign states, multinational corporations, and global investors in complex cross-border disputes.

Her practice spans international commercial and investment treaty arbitration, public international law, and business and human rights. She has acted as counsel and arbitrator in proceedings under ICC, ICSID, LCIA, SCC, and UNCITRAL rules, across jurisdictions in the MENA region, Central Asia, Europe, North America, and Latin America.

Beyond law, Meriam is a passionate advocate for human rights through storytelling. As founder of Allusionist Pictures, she has produced critically acclaimed and award-winning films, including the Academy Award-winning short film Skin. Her work bridges the gap between legal advocacy and cultural impact.

As an Adjunct Professor of Law, she is committed to mentoring the next generation of arbitration practitioners, teaching international arbitration procedure, investment treaty law, and the ethical dimensions of cross-border dispute resolution.
